Alamo City Poker League (ACHL) is the premier live free poker in San Antonio. By joining ACHL, a player has the opportunity to qualify for monthly cash tournaments.
Rules:
ACHL plays tournament style Texas Holdem and follows the WSOP rules. Outside of the WSOP rules, the only additional rule is that YOU HAVE FUN!
Each player starts with 1500 chips, and there are no rebuys or addons.
The monthly qualifications are determined by a point system. Just for playing a session, a player automatically gets 10 points. The top 8 players receive a greater amount of points based on the following point structure:
1 -> 100 points
2 -> 80 points
3 -> 70 points
4 -> 60 points
5 -> 50 points
6 -> 40 points
7 -> 30 points
8 -> 20 points
The top 25 point leaders from each location will receive an invitation to the monthly tournament. Times and locations of each tournament will be announced at the first of the month.
The monthly tournament follows the same rules as the nightly tournaments. Payout structure is determined by the number of entrants on the day of the tournament.
Each player starts with 1500 chips, with no rebuys or addons. A player can start with more chips, by having a higher qualification at a particular, or number of bar locations. The additional chips are given at the begining of the tournament and follow this structure:
Top 15 rank -> 500 chips
Top 5 rank -> 1000 chips
Ties will each get the same amount of chips, for instance if two people tie for 15th at a location, both will receive an extra 500 chip. It is possible to qualify for extra chips at every location, so play often and at multiple locations to start with the heighest chip count!
